A new look Bradford City Reserves began their 19/20 campaign with 4-1 defeat to Middlesbrough. The team had a youthful look with ten players 18 or under.
The Bantams started on the front foot and began to apply early pressure on their host, with Amelia White producing some excellent runs.
Less than 10 minutes into the game White was through on goal but could only shoot directly at the Middlesbrough goalkeeper. Moments later, Middlesbrough played the ball through the flanks and some how manage to get a shot off at a difficult angle sneaking past the city keeper Jacobs.
Middlesbrough then double their advantage in the 35th minute.
A home victory looked the most likely outcome when Middlesbrough scored the third in the 40th minute.

With a change of system at half time, Bradford started the more brighter of the two sides. Bradford were rewarded on the 60th minute, when Paris Durrant play a through ball, which caused problems at the back for Middlesbrough. Chloe Webster was the quickest to react to the confusion and scored for Bradford.
Bradford continue to be on top in the 2nd half but couldn't find a way to break the Middlesbrough defensive line. When Bradford did break the defensive line, the final ball was poor or they couldn't get a shot away.
The home side wrapped up the win with a 25 yard shot with 10 minutes left.
