History

Bradford City Women's Football Club welcomes players of all ages and abilities. Our success is not all about winning football matches, it's about people and bringing fitness, fun and friendship to all members. Our club is every bit as important as our successes on the football field.

1988
Club is formed after linking up with local youth centres already involved in training girls.

1989
Club becomes founder members of the Yorkshire and Humberside Women’s League, winning promotion from Division Two, runners up in the Yorkshire Plate and reaching the semi-finals of the knockout cup.

1996
The Under 16s play at Wembley as a curtain raiser to Bradford City’s play off final win.

1997
The Club are promoted to the FA Women’s Premier League.

1999
The Club are relegated from the FA Women’s Premier League.
